Seems like some sort of inherent hatred of the police, allegedly pointed his gun at several people but didn't shoot, perhaps seeking only police. Might have been entirely in his right mind.

Can we please not start "guessing" and keep this thread for information and condolence purposes?

It wouldn't surprise me, seems to be the common denominator in shootings lately.

Correlation does not equal causation.

Most likely those that are conducting these heinous acts have mental illness that has tried to be corrected with prescription meds.

Or you know. Conspiracy stuff

crossing different psychiatric drugs has been proven to trigger psychotic episodes in some people so you can't just rule it out and imply anyone who questions it is crazy. Grade school rhetoric, last post in this thread for me though before people go nuts. My condolences to those effected, hopefully the violence is over.

People also go nuts when their girlfriend breaks up with them or when they get cut off on their way home from work. Speculating, at this time, is a waste of time and in poor taste IMO.

This guys Facebook page is creepy. Every single thing is about guns, hating police, killing, and strange poems/lyrics.

I honestly couldn't find it. Saw a number of other Justin Bourque's, some of which were even from NB. Too bad it's not like LinkedIn and you get statistics on who views your page.

And now on topic.

I'm from New Brunswick originally and still have many friends and family living there, including some in the Moncton area. I have a mutual Facebook friend with Justin Bourque from Moncton, but it's not this Justin Bourque, thankfully.

I also found what I'm pretty sure is the killer's Facebook page. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to link it, though. His timeline is open to the public and filled with nothing but pro-gun and anti-police/anti-government propaganda.
