Scanner with a bunch of 10-8 (available for duty) calls and I think I heard something about collapsing the perimeter and going back to a debriefing spot.

Be nice for our lovely justice system to get this one right. Just once.

Thankfully he turned out to be a coward in the end and no one else had to die.

I wonder if he ended up turning himself in (or giving himself up). The cops probably would have had itchy trigger-fingers otherwise, obviously with good reason.

In such a small(er) community there was no chance he could hide out for too long.

I get where they're coming from and I understand the anger, but it's pretty off putting and kind of lame to read when you guys do this every time you discuss criminals.

We have a justice system and he'll be charged and imprisoned/rehabilitated appropriately.
I wish. thx.

In this case, I don't give a crap about rehabilitation, this punk killed 3 cops and tried to kill 2 others. His immediate and permanent future should revolve around a 8x10 cell in the worst hell hole that we can find.

He's never getting out, or at least he should never get out.

I'm taking that story from the twitter account with a grain of salt as she does claim to be a singer/song writer/actress in her twitter profile. Really hate to stereotype but it wouldn't be the first time someone tries to use a situation to gain celebrity.

Edit: She's also promoting being on CTV so again, grain of salt.

As much as I wouldn't have cared if this scumbag was shot and killed by police, i'm glad he's in custody. Great work to get him arrested.

He was in my backyard. I saw him arrested in front of my eyes. He is alive. Thank you #RCMPNB. The swat team arrived at my house and unloaded and started screaming in my backyard for him to surrender and he did. I watched it happen. They had him sprawled on my front lawn for some time and then loaded him into the swat vehicle. They are now checking my yard for firearms.

He won't be rehabilitated. This kind of guy would reoffend and the justice system knows it. He will be in prison for the rest of his life, because there is no way to treat his personality disorder.

You can take rehabilitation out of the equation.

I laughed when I read the last sentenced My Friend was killed in a stabbing on video. Guy was charged with 1st degree murder. Sentenced to only 8 years then reduced to 3 years. He was allowed out of Jail for almost a year while they challenging the sentence. Still convicted of First degree murder and only served 3 years. He's been out for years now. I have no faith in the legal system. I do agree revenge fantasy's can get out of hand.

I expected this to end in a more violent way, much like it started. Good on the RCMP for avoiding further deaths. I certainly wonder what caused the wanna-be Rambo to surrender peacefully.
