According to Wiki:
Noa is both a male and female first name as well as a surname.
In Israel, the name Noa ( Hebrew: נֹועָה) is a popular name for girls. In the Hebrew Bible, Noa was one of the Five Daughters of Zelophehad. Noa in some languages are the another form of Noah [1]
So it's nothing strange or dumbass about the name, whoever think it's dumbass is a dumbass, IMHO.

Or maybe it was planned all along. He knew 9 months ago that he wasn't going to sign and that some fans would be mad at him. What better way to distract people than with a cute baby? What a sneaky guy!

My daughter just turned 6 yesterday and I recall when she was born was during the holdout Gaudreau had prior to signing his 6 year deal. When the deal was eventually signed I remember being pissed the Flames didn’t push hard to go the full 8 as I thought Johnny would leave for sure after his contract expired. My buddy tried to tell me 6 years was such a long time and my new born kid would be in grade 1 by the time the deal was done.
It was pretty crazy how fast those 6 years flew by. I also recall Brian Elliott being at the hospital with his wife giving birth at the same time I was there. He was awful to start the season that is for sure. Johnny was pretty terrible in year 1 of that deal and I have a feeling he will struggle this year as well. Congrats to the Gaudreau’s for their new addition to the family. Go Flames go

Hanifin to Blue Jackets in two years...
One simply doesn't just name their child after an ex-teammate without it being part of their master plan...

People really should educate themselves a little more before making a dumb ass comment like this. Derp, there's actually other names for girls besides Sarah or Jennifer?

It would have cost the flames a huge amount to add two years to that contract, as it would have pushed Johnny to a undesirable place when he hit UFA.
Even assuming Johnny would have signed an 8 year contract, the AAV would have been likely the mid-8’s.

Congrats to Johnny and his wife!
My daughter just turned two a few days ago, and looking back over the last two years, I can't imagine doing all the travel and training while trying to balance the parenting duties so my wife isn't crushed under everything.
We moved away from Calgary a month after my daughter was born, and it's been incredibly difficult being away from our family support structure, so I completely understand why they pushed to be nearer to theirs.

Fine, but her last name is Gaudreau. You can pick something else. For instance, Vera.
