I like this core transplant tbh and I'm curious to see how it goes. I just hope we get another forward piece to help with the slotting / give us more options.

Personally am rooting for a Kadri signing.

I'm not sure we were going far building around Gaudreau and Tkachuk since they progressively faded as the games got bigger and experience didn't appear to change much there.

Maybe this new combination of players will yield better results when it matters.

Don't know why you need to include a stupid gif, but you also said that she was anti-Canada because of masks, and that it was a big part of the reason they left. You said it right there ^^^. So WTF? I'm jumping to conclusions?

Why'd you move to Victoria? Are you anti-oil? Oh no, it must be your wife. Got it.

Chucky was almost traded for Eichel. He was apart of Calgary’s final offer regardless of what anyone said after it was leaked. Chuckys camp wasn’t happy to have it go public, the deal fell apart when MT agent said Chucky was not interested in signing a long term deal in Buffalo at the time.

Chucky was gone regardless this summer.

Calgary could of gotten a lot of holes pulled with Tkachuk but the holes will were made bigger once John moved on.

Anti-UCP mostly, but yeah I did leave Calgary so that my wife could pursue something, and my parents live in Victoria, so my kids get to spend time with them regularly. My skills allow me to work remotely. At the time I was working with people based in Toronto, now I work with Vancouver/Calgary people.

It's okay that people consider many factors when deciding where they want to live/work. My point in this is that I believe his wife did not want to live in Canada and that made this situation complex for Johnny. It seems he genuinely liked his time in Calgary, but his family/wife didn't want to continue doing so, and THAT'S OKAY.

Canada's response to the pandemic was vastly different from that of the US, and she's shared things that suggest she was very much not a fan of how Canada handled it. Heck, I'm not a fan of how Canada handled it. We should 100% still be masking right now.

Oh crap. I think I misread your original post. I don't actually care why you moved, I was getting all annoyed at what I percieved as you blaming his wife. Sounds a little more nuanced here. My bad.

When Johnny commented on the Chiclets podcast that the Flames players thought the Oilers would be an easy out after the 9-6 game I felt a lot better about him not being here. That entire series I was waiting for the team to lock it down defensively and turn the games into tight checking games similar to Dallas. Calgary played the trade chance game far too much and it cost them dearly as they lose the next 4.

Johnny will play hard for the Jackets and will get his points but there is a reason he didn’t wear a letter here unless he was subbing for an injured guy. I am very happy we replaced him with the more mature (at least from interviews) Huberdeau.

My best friend moved to Australia 15 years ago. I was less salty about that than some of you are about a guy - a guy you know only from his public actions - going from one mercenary outfit to another.

Was he hemming and hawing about the decision one day, talking terms about a job offer in town, and then gone the next?

Jesus christ you guys are getting pretty embarrassing with this kind of garbage. You actually followed her on twitter to examine possible reasons she talked JG out of signing in Calgary. Just pathetic.
You're that guy that has to reply to everything, all the time. I'm glad you feel better screaming at the wind.

Lol. Quoting me verbatim. I really hurt your feelings with that one, eh? The truth really cuts deeps sometimes. Anyway, I'd apologize, but I wont. Why don't you go cry yourself to sleep on your gigantic post count.

Posting on a site like this should be fun. There's no need to be so antagonistic. Just have some fun. Your posts come across as angry quite often.

This si pretty much the only topic I've replied to in months, and it's pathetic and embarrassing how badly "Flames Fans" are talking about JG and his departure. Dragging his wife into it, claiming that he deliberately screwed Calgary, and all that garbage, when BT had all the time in the world to sort it out.

So my posts sound antagonistic? Sorry I haven't joined your pity party with all the crybabies that are mad that a grown man made a decision for himself that a bunch of people don't like.

I come across as mad? More like embarrassed. This is Oiler fan level of embarrassing.

Pat commented again today on how close he thought Johnny was to signing on the Tuesday. He said he thought it was imminent

Honestly if you are embarrassed why even come here? You clash with every poster you come in contact with so why even bother? All you seem to post about is how Johnny did everything the way he should which many disagree with. Your arguments are changing peoples opinion so again why bother?

Embarrassed? Why? Don't associate yourself with this site then there is no need to be embarrassed. Then all you are is mad, for some silly reason. You are mad because people on this site are displeased with how Gaudreau handled his exit.
