The fact that we all #### in the oilers for their players wanting to get the hell out of there, but yet we’re the ones that just lost our two biggest names.. that’s why it’s not going away. There is a reason why players don’t want to play in Calgary.

I think with how easily he can be pushed off the puck in the playoffs, this might prove to be one of the best non-signings for Calgary.
Especially on an 8 year $84M+ deal…

I agree with that, and I was never a fan of signing him over $9.5M, but we'll still be missing the most entertaining Flame since Theo Fleury, and that's still sad. As a fan that watches for the entertainment and in the knowledge that a cup is a pipe dream almost every year, I'll miss watching Johnny even if I don't think it would have been a great signing.

Through 126 pages did we simply overlook that Gaudreau signed with the team his ASG puppeteer Jakub Voracek plays for?
It took until today for that to dawn on me.

Speaking of karma, having that Edmonton is no good thread is bad karma also, and it makes no sense since they just beat us and have won more cups... shows how rent free Edmonton is for certain flames fans.
