One of the things I'm disappointed about is that there has been nothing from Johnny expressing his gratitude to Calgary and its fans.

|
Think about it guys, he went from a team with a solid chance to compete, to a team that has been terrible for 20 years, and doesn't have much to show for.
I think he really doesn't want to win. NJ & NYI both will have bigger expectations about on-ice performance. Columbus is a big ol' meh, and has been since they came into the NHL.

An extra 16 million can do a lot to bring your family closer to you.
16 million extra is pretty 'good for family'.
Potentially building a legacy as the greatest player in a city of all time or one of the top would also have huge benefits for 'family'.
What a short sighted and baffling decision, by Johnny and his camp.

This is nothing short of a disaster for Johnny Gaudreau and especially his agent. Less money for a worse team in a far worse market that is not close to home. An absolute disgrace.
