John Shannon ‏@JSportsnet Make no mistake, BMcGrattan will be in Calgary not the A. Team feels it needs to be tougher and harder to play against.#hartleyhockey

McGrattan was injured early on in the year... still may need more time in the AHL to be ready for the NHL.

PMM said when he watched McGratton a few time this years that they guy had nothing left in the tank. So I guess we will find out soon enough if he will ever play in Calgary or just stay in abbotsford.

A trade for McGrattan gets the Moon seal of approval? That in itself is more perplexing than the trade.

I like the addition of someone who plays physical, but more importantly we need a shi!t disturber, not a goon. We need a high energy guy - Ott would have been a great pickup himself.

I still think Godaard was our best tough guy we had, what a beast. He handled the boogyman, RIP.

I actually like this move, he can be scratched every night for all he cares but when he is in the lineup he is a bonafide heavy weight. And he wasnt as terrible of a liabilty as Ivanas/Godard etc.

How exactly does a player who sees the ice for 3 minutes a game make a team harder to play against?

According to hockeyfights.com he did pretty good last year against some tough guys - http://www.hockeyfights.com/players/...htcard/reg2012

He played 6 games in the AHL with no fights and 2 games in the NHL with no fights.

A response from a guy that's going to play one shift per night is not a response anyone is looking for.

As far as i am concerned Feaster still has to adress the grit and toughness factor. McGrattan will only be in a handful of games. He does not add grit or toughness to the team on the ice when he is in Abby or the pressbox.

You need someone to back up the #### disturber or he isn't very effective.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie CGY needs to open up an NHL roster spot for McGrattan. Likely do that in coming day(s). Doubtful McGrattan actually plays in AHL but TBD.

Perhaps shipping a body out?

Maybe he will scare the hell out of the locker room. Play tough or answer to me.

One can hope I guess.
