You may get a sympathetic manager at a store if you explain the situation...

Your best bet may be to call their customer service line and try to get a refund for shipping through there:

I've never ordered from Marks so I never read the fine print of the orders. But if you qualify for free shipping and they unilaterally remove an item and ship the order without giving you the option to change the order or refund I don't see how they can charge you shipping as you never agreed to it.

But it's possible that it is in the fine print that this situation could happen.

I don't think shipping was ever free on the jacket order, at least it wasn't for me.

I haven't been dinged for shipping yet that I know of (just from the bill emailed to me), my item is currently sitting at Purolator I need to go pick it up. The amount on my credit card still shows up as a $60 purchase from Marks as of December 1st.. even though my item is only $20. I might need to call them to make sure that jacket cost is refunded.

Thanks for input. Thing is, I never would have ordered the toque if it hadn't been for the deal on the jacket and the fact you had to add up at least $50 to get the discount. I certainly would never solely order an $8 toque with a $6.50 shipping cost.

I'll try in-store, and if they can't realize the logic I'll try the service line.

EDIT: Also, RE: GreenLantern...the refund for my jacket showed only showed up 2 days ago on my online statement. Might want to give it to the end of the week, but probably not too much longer.

I am in the exact same situation as you. Through email customer support I wasn't able to get them to refund my shipping charge but I was able to get them to send me a $10 gift card that I can use in store whenever.

Not sure if you guys are still interested with the coats? I picked up a brown and a green one from Marks at 130th today for $49.87. They still have some left.

When I got the email saying the jacket was out of stock, but they were sending me my other item. I responded to that email saying that if they were unable to fill my entire order, to cancel the entire thing. I didn't hear back, and I was waiting to have to file a chargeback.

I just got an email that they were refunding the entire amount, and to expect it to show up on my statement within 3-5 days.

Anybody know where I can get a decent deal on noise-cancelling headphones/earbuds?

I missed the deals that were posted here earlier...gonna be spending some time away from home and I could really use a pair of decent noice-cancelling ones...anything in the $200 or lower...not sure if it's possible but if anybody knows, let me know!
