Well it does seem like Nashville's pick is in play, and my guess as to whether they will drop down is a question of what the drop off is in their eyes of Barkov to Lindholm/Monahan compared to what the Flames are offering.

I'm a fan of his- I hope he's still around at 22. not the biggest guy but he has plenty of heart and toughness, kinda like Mike Richards(not comparing them directly)

Monahan, Zykov and Morrissey would make me a very happy Flames fan.

Yeah I doubt we could trade up with anybody but TB or NSH.

#4 for #6 + #22 + 5th rounder

Would NSH turn that down? Barkov just seems like a perfect fit for us.

Here is to hoping David Polie thinks Barkov is overrated and Barkov's Russian last name brings back flashbacks of dealing with Radulov

Compares himself to Richards and I would compare them directly. I think he has just as much Captaincy potential as Monahan.

With NSH supposedly interested in both Lindholm/Nichushkin, I think that #6 pic is going to put us ahead of any other team trying to land that pick. So hopefully a lesser deal can get it done. With that said, I'd be willing to overpay too the tune of #6 + #22 + Backlund if that is what is needed.

All I rememer about Hartman is watching him bulldoze people over at the WJC. He was a monster in that tournament.

Yep, he was a very key cog in the U.S scheme. I rememeber watching him thinking "Gee, I'd really like to see him play for the Flames". And He fits the draft mold for Feaster and Weisbrod to a T. Buttons mock draft got me pumped. Four more sleeps

Some insight into the Devils:

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice 2m One tidbit on the draft at the end of that blog post. Devils will pick a forward over a D if they consider them equal players. However ...

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice now
I know they have interest in the 3 big D that could go in top 10 -- Jones, Nurse, Ristolainen. Won't get Jones, but maybe 1 of other 2.

So you would trade what could realistically turn out to be Monahan, Zykov and Backlund to move up 2 stops to get Barkov (who may be available at 6 anyway)?

Nothing personal, but some of you have completely lost your mind with this draft.

Also: Cammalleri, Tanguay and a 6th to move up 2 spots? Good God.

Exactly what I am hoping for (would also be fine with Lazar instead of Zykov)

The Oilers website had a top 12 video mock draft some here might find some interest in.
