I'm really hoping for the retros or at the very least something retro inspired.
Based on history however I am guessing they will be some combination of a horse head, word mark, vertical striping, blue flags, and a pedestal.

I'm really surprised there haven't been any leaks or rumours about the new jerseys. Not just the Flames, but any team. The Draft is a little over a month away and they're all supposed to be revealed then, you'd think quite a few people would have seen these by now.

I could be wrong but I don't think many teams will be changing that drastically. I'd imagine a lot of jerseys will remain the same, or have extremely minor differences.

I keep coming back to this picture
I think the best example is the Czech jersey. It looks pretty much like it always does, but with the Adidas striping in the armpits.
The Swedes and Czechs just broke into their bottom striping for the Adidas look, which I'm not a fan of. Hoping the Flames just do away with the bottom and current armpit features and keep it more like the Russians, Canadians, US or Fins on the bottom.

Just a hunch but I can't see the armpit stripes making it to the NHL jerseys. It would clash with the "classic" appeal of teams like Chicago, Montreal, etc. I can't see them making that change. Maybe on a team by team basis they could have those stripes, but I just can't see it.

So who makes these decisions? Right to the top? Focus groups? I have never liked the any thing done that I don't like is wrong, as taste comes into it, but they always seem to be swimming against this site's consensus.

I am sure the league is involved, but I can't see them blocking the retros.

I had no idea the new jerseys were all being released for the draft, I'm super excited for that now. More than the draft itself, given our boring mid-round slot. If they come out in retros I may require a change of underwear. Retro whites...RIIIIIISE
