I think people might be overreacting a little bit. The arena looks a bit silly, but with renovations to improve sight lines and the fact that the Islanders aren't exactly a hot sell (with a move to Brooklyn giving them a much higher probability of selling tickets, despite the small arena and questionable sight lines) I'd say it's still alright. If that was the view at any major arena I'd be a little more outraged, but it's the Islanders, I believe that have to attempt to SELL the seats before people start talking about how bad they are. Hopefully at least some of that gets remedied though.

Exactly. Lots of stadiums have obstructed view seats, many of which obstruct major portions of the game (such as home plate at Wrigley Field). As long as their sold with full disclosure I don't see how this is "embarrassing" or otherwise an issue. It's not an ideal situation, but it's the best option for the time being. I'll be interested to see what happens once Ratner and his group get to work on the Nassau revamp, wouldn't be surprised to see the Isles back out there again.

Are they going to make some changes in the next two years to fix some of the obstructed seats? It looks like a decent place to watch a game for 7/8 of the attendees but the obstructed seats are a little embaressing IMO.

The guy's head is blocking the corner. Go look at the highlights from the game, the goal line comes up the boards right beside the Barclay's ad.


I think that's a woman. That looks like a women's watch, plus the purse.
