Leading the WHL in goals so far after tying for 3rd last season behind only Beach and Eberle.

Our 7th round pick last year, Patrick Holland, also has 4 goals, 8 points in 5 games to start the season.

Max Reinhart has 3 goals, 5 points in first 3 games.

Spencer Bennet has 3 goals in 4 games.

Another hat trick for Howse tonight so far. Natural hat trick. 3 PP goals in less than a minute.

I hope these young guys can make the transition. The Flames will need a young infusion of talent very soon.

When I first heard his name, I thought there's a certain "star" ring to it. Ryan Howse. It's like a name that should be associated with a star hockey player.

When do you guys think he'll be ready for the bigs? Think he has a chance at a call up this year?

That is crazy. Like others have mentioned, hopefully he can translate his scoring ability to the pro game in a few years. The Flames could definitely use a pure natural goal scorer like that.

No. He'll stick with Chilliwack for the year and take it from there. I was hoping for a WJC spot, looks better and better every day. I'd be surprised if he's with the big club within 2 years, but it's awesome to see him light it up this season.

No. Maybe, if the Flames make the playoffs they call him up once Chilliwack is eliminated from their playoffs ala Negrin, but he likely would not dress. Next season would great, but I am not going to count on it.

Always great to see one of our prospects do well. I really hope he lights up the WJC, it'll give us something ELESE to be excited about (the first being our actual team)
