Flames have two jobs: stay out of the penalty box; contain McDavid. Failing at both.
Fortunately, have to just win this third period.

I'm strangely calm.
Only 62% of the game has been spent 5 on 5 and it's tied.
All the Flames need to do is stay of the box and they take a 2-0 series lead.

I tune into ESPN for the intermissions and back to CBC during the game for Cuthbert.

Kill this off and get the top line going. Need gaudreau, lindy and tkachuk going. These PPs are killing the flow.

6-2 penalties with one of the two we got being called our way being a very obvious too many men. I'm sorry but the oilers are just not playing that clean.
Agreed with others though. Just put the bloody whistles away.

Yes, McDavid is very good and there will be a ton of talk about him. Warranted.
But this is still silly.

Yes, he's been the best player so far in this round. But the fawning, gushing, fellating adulation makes me want to vomit. I mean, if someone gushed about that about me I would want to punch them in the face.

McDavid again. We need someone to count how many times that was said in the intermission. Do the over/under on that Cabbie, maybe 250 times?

It's not very often that the panel is worth watching, better off muting the broadcast and do something else with your time.

Again......yes, of course. He'll get a ot of air time, even the majority.
But he shouldn't get almost all of it.
This isn't Edmonton vs. Arizona. There's 2 Canadian teams out there in a tie game.

Ever since the Draisaitl goal was called off and Connor was shown crying to the refs on the bench this game has been called lopsided for the visitors. Just ridiculous.

gotta stay out of the penalty box, but with these refs, all you have to do is breathe on Edmonton and you get a penalty, so what can you do

Simpson is a ####ing embarrassment for a National broadcast that should be completely impartial
The actual game sucks pretty hard too. They're talking about Sutter not playing Johnny at all.... well yeah, no ####, the Flames were on the PK for half the period. First day watching hockey?

Backlund line has been excellent 5 on 5. Need to get the lines rolling in the third and I like our chances.
