I'm ok with the delayed start. It just means more time for Demko to get healthy, and any momentum the Oilers may have had coming out of the Kings series is probably gone by now. They might be a little rusty to start game 1.

Watching some of this oilers media previewing the series is crazy. Lots shrugging Vancouver off completely, saying Edmonton in 4 MAYBE 5.

I do think Edmonton wins this, but hopefully it is a 7 game bloodbath

The effing most craziest thing in this thread is that the Canucks are given empathy for facing a diving squad when they iced the BIGGEST Diving squad in NHL history.

Thank god for the Bruins taking the cup from them. If those diving pieces of human excrement won the cup that year the NHL would have been forever tainted.

Starting with that piece of kyit Luigi. No effing sympathy.

I'm calling it. The Canucks take an embellishment call tonight. The Oilers somehow don't.

All the diving calls have been where a player falls and kind of kicks his feet up. That's not McDavid's preferred embellishment. He likes to trap a stick under his arm and twitch.

Also known as pulling a Sedin. Bouwmeester was a victim of this move a few times by Henrik.

I don't think there are enough threads or places to voice my hatred of the Oilers .

The NHL should stop warning, and just enforce their own rules. They have the ability to issue supplementary discipline by reviewing game footage after the fact even if nothing was called on the ice. There are so many times you see McDavid do the thing where he grabs an opponents stick under his arm and acts like he is being interfered with, or causes the interference himself to draw a penalty. If they can't hold the league's highest profile player to a high standard, then of course embellishment will go up. Players see that it works with no negative repercussions.

Good. It'll be there Wideman effect!

God both teams are soo effing terrible. I want at least 4 players on each team to take a slapshot to the nuts.

Demko ain't coming back...if he is missing this many games its serious and if the series is in game 6 or 7 its going okay and they are't going to just shove him in there.

If the Oilers win the opening faceoff, 30 seconds.

Does Canuck has a fighter? Who can beat Kane or Nurse.

Only the Oilers can beat the Oilers.

However, it is entirely possible that Nurse and Kane fight each other.

I like that so many people are just handing the Oilers this series.

If they get PP after PP then probably, but didn't the Canucks sweep the season series? I'm not sure why this is going to be such a cakewalk for Edmonton.

They didn't just sweep it; they outscored them 21-7 in the 4 games. Of course, the caveat is that 3 of the 4 games happened in the first month of the season. Winnipeg went 3-0 vs. Colorado during the season, outscoring them 17-4 and they got blown out in the playoffs.

Oilers are no where near as good as Colorado.
