They are playing as if they are fully aware the refs are in the Oilers back pocket and can just call penalties at will.
A team with a less deadly PP wouldn’t be as much of an issue. But the officials can hand the Oilers the win if they want to

That was a terrible effort from Vancouver.
Good news is they are only down 1 and haven't broken a sweat or had a scoring chance yet.

Kelly is the drunk uncle who just says things to look relevant.

Someone just pointed out to me that last season was the first season in a long time where Pickard didn't play in the NHL at all. He had a full season in the AHL and was knocked out of the playoffs in the first round down there. The goalie on the team that ended his season?
Arturs Silovs.

If they would just Velcro someone to dry saddle, they would seriously disrupt the merchant play.

Wish they tested pickle more. But maybe the lack of work early keeps him cold for when the shots start coming.

The panel is amped tonight. Much different scene than the morgue from last game.

Tocchet better have torn them a new one during the intermission. Petterson needs to speak to a sports psychologist, or a doctor, a priest, or an exorcist... someone who can help before next game.

Good news for VAN is that they are only down one after not showing up. Embarrassing.

It's not even necessary at all. Just always cover the lane to down low on that side. You don't need to shadow the guy.

Bouchard is apparently every bit the player they thought they were drafting 10OA. Ron sounds a bit defensive there.
Yeah, he’s right up there with other 10OAs like Selanne and Rantanen.
