I suspect when the regular season starts (Christmas Eve-Boxing Day) we will see the Fireplace Arm Guy in his prime, and with his rival Mexican Fireplace Arm Guy on the WB 37 to push him along in their competition this is going to be one hell of a fireplace managing we are in for, so sit back and enjoy!
personally I will be going for the under dog Mexican Fireplace Arm Guy as he has gone under the radar so far.

Man I have to figure out how to get my channels to stop crossing. I don't know what it could be, if there's a cheap coaxial cable or splitter hooked somewhere in house, I'll have to try them all.
But the channel 6/9 crossing interference happens on every TV in the house.
I can't believe I want a fireplace that badly.

Not that I watch soap operas, but today on Days of our Lives, Carrie made a reference to sitting at home alone 'watching the Channel 9 Yule Log' for Christmas. This is apparently a North American phenomenon!
And really, how do they leave the logs that long sometimes? I see the worst log placement and I have to change the channel as I know fireplace arm guy won't fix it for a half an hour or so.

That was probably the infamous night when Fireplace Arm Guy and Mrs. Fireplace Arm Guy hit the egg nog and then became occupied forgetting the fire.
Seriously though, the first or second time I watched it the fire almost went out and then you hear a jogging, then shuffling then the camera gets bumped and a log gets literally chucked onto the fire.

It becomes an obsession watching for Fireplace Arm Guy... I did the late night feeding of our little month year old, and did I go to sleep afterwards? NO, I had to stay up and watch the fireplace for Fireplace Arm Guy, thanks to this thread. And lo, there was an arm, but I was absolutely exhausted for the rest of the day, having sat up from about 4am waiting for him.
Thanks guys!
PS - he's amazingly quick. All that power, precision, it all comes together to create the complete package.

You're right, he sure is quick. I was waiting up last night for him. Started to doze off a bit, and in my half asleep slumber, I heard some noise. It was Fireplace Arm Guy using the poker to stir the fire up. I grabbed my camera that was sitting, waiting for the hunt, and successfully got a picture of the end of the poker as he was pulling it away. My mission tonight is to capture the arm, no matter what.
PS - I was going to write the acronym for Fireplace Arm Guy, but geez... I'd hate to be him, alas, I didn't do it, haha.

Did anyone see the stategic move the other night? He put a piece of wood about 6 inches long, and about 3 inches wide to prop up the wood on top from falling out.
It was like magic!
