Hey, don't make fun. That's the closest thing I've had to Christmas for the past 2 years with late exams.

I remember when I was living in res, every TV would have that fire on. It became a tradition... so stop bashing it, dammit!

REPORT- Late last night there was a Mexican Fireplace Arm Guy, along with a brown plaid shirt and a golden watch. Possibly WB 37's fireplace guy (who's run starts Christmas Day) has been brought in on a conditioning stint.

In all reality I'm pretty sure this thing is on a 4 hour loop, because every once in a while I flip through and things are REALLY different. Also, late last night (shortly after the new fireplace arm guy came in) I went to the washroom and not 2 minutes later when I came back the whole thing was completely changed, thus my theory of being on a 2 hour loop.

There's definitely a loop... my friends and I were listening to the game and had the fireplace on cause the guy changing it cracked us up... and we were laughing for an hour about his two handed log-poker technique, and lo and behold, an hour after that, it happened exactly like that again.

We were devastated... we thought it was a live fire.

He is well coached. Works hard during the offseason putting new logs in and keeping that nice pale arm of his from getting tanned. He's the Powerplay Quarterback for the Fireplace arm guy group!

I watched that last year for about 10 minutes, there was a log that looked like it was going to fall out of the fire then the hand came in and fixed it with his poker. Strange how everone watches this with no real reason.

I want to see Fireplace Arm Guy have a few too many noggs in his utter boredom at the Shaw Cable studios and fall onto the fire, a la that guy from Survivor.

Maybe I should give up Bell and Centre Ice so I can get Shaw and Fireplace Arm Guy.

Waaah! I want my channel 9 fixed! Stupid channel is crossed with CBC channel 6!!! The fireplace is ruined! (either that or I get to watch the fireplace and hockey night in Canada at the same time in a really annoying scrambled way).

How do I uncross my channels?

You've probably got a bad cable. CBC is channel 9 on peasent vision. Check the coaxial cable that you're using because you've got interference due to you shielding sucking.

The other thing to check is how many splits you have in your cable. Often the interference can be caused by bad splitters.

For splitters, don't use the dollar store ones, go into Home Depot and buy the $10 one.

Have you guys seen the commercial dissing The Log? I think it was for Sportchek or some ski hill. They're all "You can sit there and watch the fire burn or hit the slopes" and they show The Log. Totally going to boycott that place now...
