Interesting - I thought it was just a loop shot too.

I noticed the other day that "Fireplace" was an option in the VOD menu in Shaw under "Musicals". For $1.99 you can enjoy the VOD version of the fireplace. Not sure how it differs from the free version - maybe more action from the guy that adds logs? Does anyone dare find out?

Along with wonderful amount of radiation for those of us with old CRTs. I swear, I wake up with spots on my face when I leave the TV on all night.

That can't be good for Kyoto. They're burning logs 24/7 all year long!!! Think of the emissions!!!

But a gamethread would be awesome for this. Shawnski needs to make a flaming "Fireplace Log Guy" name so we can post it here along with flashing siren.

This has all the ingredients for a cp staple. Who is the local graphics guy? Anthony Cook? AC, got time to fire off a flaming log gif for when the flames score?

I wonder how close that mic is to get that full sound effect of the fire... I can't turn the channel.

My Channel 9 is full of intereference and half of it seems to be CBC from channel 6 in the background. It looks and sounds horrible and it's ruining my enjoyment of the fireplace!

Why is this happening? Why do channels cross sometimes on analog cable? How can I fix this? I need fire!

Apparently the VOD version has music playing the background. In my opinion this isn't good. Its like George Lucas messing with the original triology. You just can't mess with a classic like Fireplace.

My dad has a DVD called "Fireplace in a Box". Got it from Canuck Tire last year. It is pure evil.

I finally saw the log changer. I saw that the log was getting low and black and just stayed on that channel for a good 5 minutes....and then wham....a really skinny pale arm comes in and just tosses it on.

I agree with you. The music takes away from the ambience...it wouldn't be the same without the crackling of the fire.
