Tryin to finish my last term paper.. lucky it's only for a 2nd yr class so I don't have to put as much effort into it lol...

no, sorry.
but tomorrow I have a quiz. on bsd, so that's somewhat miserable.
I'm actually excited though, because it's my last ever class in my degree and oddly enough it's in the exact same course as my first ever class of my degree. Math 249
I feel like I've come full circle.

I remember the good ole days of doing papers and cramming for exams. In 1st and 2nd year, I was the worst for doing essays in two days...it was stressful and compromised the quality of my work.
I figured out a technique that worked for me...I did one page per day until the paper was done. It really relaxed me as I knew I could do one page every day and it would allow me time deliberate on my thesis, come up with clear ideas, and find the best way to communicate those ideas. I always hated looking at a blank computer screen so I would always find 3 or 4 quotes that were appropriate for my topic and type them. Then I would start to build an essay around them using my thesis as continuous theme. It really worked for me...
Does anybody else have other techniques that helped you avoid the paper writing marathon?

I alway have the good intention of doing papers over a few weeks, but for some reason I never stick to my schedule. Sadly, the majority of my papers I do the night before always go better than the one's I spend more time on, so I never learn my lesson for doing them early. Since this is my last paper ever, I'll probably never learn my lesson!

That's what everyone tells me - things have gone well so far, we'll have to see if that continues into the future.

I've been there bud. Was at school working on it. She was all done, all I did was hit print preview to make sure it wasnt in "Landscape" mode(which had happened to me before), and the computer completely crashed, 15 minutes before the paper was due. I was lucky enough to get one of the computer guys at the library to write me a note for my prof, saying the computer crashed. My prof gave me one day to get it to him. Went for a pint at the campus pub to release my frustrations, and got back on er.
As for the late night papers, that was last week...now its on to late-night studyin for finals.

Ugh, it's all just gibberish now! But I've now hit page 12 and am almost on to my conclusion. Here's to bed and finishing it in the morning!

Man.. being in sciences is so much different. In first year I had to prepare a short formal report for one of my classes. Short being some 50 pages.. I was up until 4 AM while a friend of mine pulled the all nighter and was a mess for a week.
Science kids aren't used to things like that. Working on a digital lab until 2 AM for a week straight on the other hand.. yeah sure..

It's getting to that time of year where I thought a thread bump might be relevant.
I just realized an hour ago that I have a good 7-10 pager due tomorrow at 1:00. Time to get crackin'.

Wow, this thread seems forever ago, Reading about my last paper. I feel like I've been out of school forever!
Now it's 3 am, 21 hour work shift marathons. Papers were actually much easier.
