Just sent him an email explaining that I had an assignment due on Tuesday and Wednesday and that I wouldn't have the time to do it as well as I would like to.

Just finished a Poli sci assignment. It is a week late but the penalty is only a third of a grade to a maximum of one week late or else.
I can live with a third of a grade for an extra week considering how much trouble it gave me.
Now I only have to worry about my 10 page philosophy of mind paper due on the 12th and my 20 page research paper for poli 439 due on the 4th. That and 3 finals.

Obviously with what time I'm posting this, it is a little early for me to even consider this. I have 3 essays due coming up. Not sure if I'm going to get all 3 done on time or not. 1 prof specifically states no extensions on the syllabus. The other essay I will get done as it is the one I'm working on now.
For my final essay is there any way a prof can tell you that you can't turn in an essay late (I'm willing to get marks docked)? It doesn't say anything on the syllabus. Do I have to email her with a made up excuse, or could I just tell her I'm going to take a few extra days?
