I really like Dr Young, wish she taught more cdn history 500 courses so I could finish off my 500 level requirements with her. But I doubt that's happening.

She is pretty great. I like how she allows discussion to kind of follow a free course in her class without interfering.

She also does a good job of directing discussion while at the same time being relatively unobtrusive. So I take it profs like her are the exception, not the norm?

No, the Poli Sci department has excellent professors. I'd say she's one of the "weaker" of the better profs.

Well here I am, less than an hour before I have to turn my ol' essay in....
just under 500 words or 1.5 pages short...

As of right now, I'm going to turn it in, and hope for the best. I believe I have a good essay, just don't have the time or thought process to really add more...

I find if you have a good paper, the length really doesn't matter that much. Unless you're only at half...then you might have a problem.

Well I got my paper back yesterday. I did well on it, except the fact that my word processor doesn't have a spell check. So I had a few spelling errors in my paper that I missed. The professor caught them, and as per his rules, the max grade I could earn was a C. It would have been a B+ otherwise.

Also here it is 6:30, and I have yet to sleep. I'm trying to finish a book review. Here's a tip... Don't try to read a book and write an 8 page paper on it all in one night (esp. if the Flames play that night)
As of right now, I just sent an email asking for a weekend extension. A weekend that I have another 12 page paper I have to write aswell. Count me in for a long boring weekend!

I have about 30 pages of revisions to make to Honours thesis that were due today, but I can probably get an extension to Monday. I have another 10 page paper due this Tuesday and another 20 page paper due on the 16th. What an awful semester.

Of course, when I was a youngster, I did my papers the week they were assigned. Typed the essays myself - on paper. Make a mistake, and you had to start the page all over again.

I did the papers early, and had no stress all semester, while the other students were panicking to do things at the last minute. Too bad for them, I already hid all the good books in the library.

This was before the internets. Before color TV.

Just one more 20 pager and I'm done for term work. Wait, no, never mind. One more 20 pager and a zool lab. Then I can start studying for finals! Yay!

This thread makes me miss school ('07 grad, U of A engineering FYI). Kinda fun just to go through it just to see who the students are, and what they're taking.

Damn, forgot all about this thread, its been theraputic during previous semesters when workin on essays. Misery loves company don't ya know. Just finished up my essay week last week, the last bein for Pre-Confed Canadian History(200 level). I'm now embarking full blast on Finals Week. Got a take-home final in World War II History due Tuesday morning.

Last final's Thursday night, 91.5 hours until I'm free baby!! The best part? As soon as my last final ends(8pm), game 2 of Calgary/San Jose begins. Somethin tells me I'm gonna be drunk as **** by about the second period.

Yep, I love this thread...

I literally just finished up a 12-15 pager on Vietnam. Well one more line and I would have been on page 12. I'm hoping I'm ok.
Now I'm going to start a 5-7 pager...

Both of these are due in the morning.
I'll let you guys know what time I finally make it to bed.
