You complain about the thought of a storyline where someone is on to Dexter but yet you want the return of a clean kill Dexter??
Compare the two storylines and to me, it's a no brainer as to which one is more interesting. Dexter just being a killer is boring TV. There has to be more. Dexter on the edge of being caught by someone, anyone makes the show intense. Dexter going out and killing Joe Nobody has been done to death.
The Quinn storyline is not going away and to me, that's been the most interesting part of the season.
Oh and for those who didn't like Ep 1 and 2 this season, it picks up after the next episode. Trust me.

There's a big difference between Doakes and Quinn. Doakes just sensed there was something wrong with Dexter and that's why he was after him. He felt there was more to his story and wanted to figure it out. Quinn's conflict with Dexter is because he's afraid Dexter's going to rat him out about swiping money at one of the crime scenes and he wants to get dirt on him to protect himself. That he's stumbling upon stuff about Deter now isn't because he thinks he's a psycho like Doakes did, but rather from pure happenstance.

He didn't have her do it. She did it on her own to protect Dexter since she was obsessed with him. She went to investigate where he was by checking out his GPS, found Doakes there and once she found out he was going to turn Dexter in if he was freed she blew up the place with him in it.

The Quinn route is just more annoying, i would like it if it was someone else because quinn is just annoying.
Dexter punched the neighbour for kissing is wife.. OH NO SO SUSPICIOUS that he killed his own wife because of that. Oh no he did that so he must be a murderer ... yea thats what I got from quinn, that dexter did it because he punched his neighbour for kissing his wife.
doakes trailed dexter when feeling like that ... quinn is looking at 3 pieces of paper and what his sister says
Oh and its just a "whole bad feeling" about the guy based off no other real facts at all for why quinn is going after him. I don't mind the cop after dexter... but quinn is the worst guy to make it go after dexter

K, that's a different argument, and I can understand that.
Keep in mind Quinn is also a little suspicious at the fact that dexter said "It was Me" right after the murder. And also, who wouldn't suspect the husband when a wife dies. He's always going to be a consideration and Quinn is upset that no one else in the department is even thinking like him.

I don't think he had Lila do it, she followed him to the place where Dexter was keeping Doakes and she did it to "protect" Dexter in her eyes
he killed her because she made a threat to Rita and her kids I think

I should have remembered exactly how that went. the writers had her do it for Dexter.

Quinn is SOoo dead this season, but I think there's going to be a lot more to it than he's just snooping around Dexter. The writers are focusing on him far too much.

i think another basic reason for killing her came because she killed an innocent in doakes, giving him the reason to kill her.

I still the best kill of the show was when Dexter killed the chick from season 2.
Her opening the post card in France and then seeing Dexter. That was sick.

The kill was cool, but I wanna know how he tracked her down in France. It's not like France is small. They never explained that and they never will.

I'm hoping that once Quinn finds out exactly who Dexter is that it doesn't follow the same type of storyline that Doakes did though. we know Quinn isn't an honest cop, he's more interested in his own personal gain. so once he figures out Dexter's past i hope that he comes to some mutual "understanding". i've wanted Dexter to have some inside help within the department since the show began, since after all he's serving justice that they can't

go go hot Venezuelan cop. she's playing a bigger role in the events so far than they've let on, i wouldn't be surprised if she's part of that cult doing the killings
