Paint.NET is what I use for quick stuff (as opposed to Photoshop).

I like IrfanView for cropping/resizing/lossless JPEG rotation.

Back on topic, Photoshop is the devil's work. God wants all photos unretouched.

[CP 2793920:467]

Then the question is what that would look like after 2000 years of oral transmission, cultural influences, apocryphal writings, false authorship, editors changing the context and intent to suit their own purposes or the current moral climate or political agenda, religious and sectarian war, and a whole lot of beer brewing monks playing Biblical telephone...

Newspaper editors ARE Gods, so there's an element of truth to that. In the business of photojournalism at least.

She argues that looking at arguments put forward by Christian apologetics, most are at odds with that fact that Christianity failed to do the right thing time after time in history. And now apologetics use outcomes that might have nothing do with the influence of religion through history to prove their point.

The article that ''oilyfan'' posted a link to(written by a man) does not understand history. The ''Dark Ages" were a Crown/Cathollic phenomenon. The first person to translate the Bible into english was burned at the stake by the Vatican. Look up "John Dee" to begin to understand how contemptuous the Royals are of Christianity.

Carl fking Sagan would be doing barrel rolls in his grave at the state of today's discourse

Carl fking Sagan was a cheap celebrity hack who never did anything original. He should have been be buried at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

Problem with a guy like Dinesh D'Souza is that he's skilled mainly on rhetoric and is not really an official religious nor scholarly authority in any capacity.

You're absolutely right, Dinesh D'Souza is skilled mainly on rhetoric and is not really an official religious nor scholarly authority in any capacity. He should gain 50 pounds, become an obsene drunk and start writing for Vanity Fair. I just hope he doesn't get cancer.

Maybe you should pray he doesn't get cancer. I mean, it can't hurt, can it?

Of course, as we all know, the pious and devout are impervious to cancer.

Poor sod ol' Hitch. Good writer. Shame about what's happened. We all go. Some sooner than others.

Carl Sagan eventually became bits of space dust. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Wow. It's for times like this I would like a "no thanks" button.

Ooh, harsh.

I know the whole "we gotta stop believing in these foolish superstitions" angle he took might have miffed some of us, but he was pretty genial about it. Did he offend a particular superstition of yours? If so, which one?

@6:22, that's not Yahweh, that's George Lucas!

And the earth wasn't flooded because of man's wickedness, it was flooded to exterminate the Nephilim (or so I've been told). They survived (somehow) though, which is about the biggest swing and a miss in all history, going after someone with a global flood and still not getting them.

The world would be a far better place if the planet had worshipped "Saganism" vs any of the theocratic BS we have been forced to endure.
People like you make our work easier...please continue your rhetoric!
