Definitely an acquired taste for me, and not until after 30. Started with some good latte's, and went from there. Started to appreciate the medicinal effects (early mornings, powering through the afternoon drowsies), and haven't looked back.
And although it is healthier black, my dentist told me that if you have it with cream it doesn't stain your teeth nearly as badly.
Oh, and if you are drinking it for the caffeine, remember that light blends have more than dark blends.
sometimes two cream two sugar, sometimes one cream one sugar. I am at a point where two creams and two sugar is almost too much. I used to heap the sugar in them though.
on the McDonalds coffee, I like their coffee better too, and they have the best lids (waaaaay better lids then Timmys lids), and the deal for a muffin for only 2 cents with the coffee....killer

I started out as a cream and sugar guy. Living at home as a teenager my Dad said "if you're gonna drink coffee, you'll drink it like a man, or you won't drink it at all"...so I didn't. That's just how my old man rolled. It was disgusting black so when I got out on my own I was all about cream and sugar.
A couple years later, don't remember why, I kicked cream. So I was a one sugar guy for twenty some years. Every once in a while I'd try to kick it, but it was as difficult as quitting smoking for me. Finally, just this past winter, I forced myself to lose sugar. I like it, but definitely enjoyed it more with sugar.
Never had any problem dropping cream. In fact I find cream in coffee now revolting. Sugar on the other hand, I could probably go back on it if I let myself.
It's gotta be black everywhere but at Tim's. Only place I get a double double. Unless the coffee is absolutely horrendous, then I add a little sugar and cream to get by.
Quoted for truth.
Black everywhere else, but Tim's black coffe tastes like it was squeezed out of a battery

Am I alone in my distaste for the coffee at Tim's?
Nope, I think it's some of the worst coffee going. I can't believe there are people lined up out the door in the morning. I'll only drink it as a last resort.
