I like the OP's encouragement on towards "CIVILITY" I joined this forum just over 10 years ago, this was shortly after running a (non sports) forum of my own for about 15 years which had about a dozen moderators. My mother and I (who has since passed) were big Calgary sports fans, it gave us some in common we could enjoy. When I started lurking on CP we were both applaud and disappointed with how people were treating EE. It was everyday by different people and sometimes for no reason at all but to just attack his opinion, or his character. Some attacks were ruthless and went on for weeks, months at as time!! He has thick skin, handled most situations with class but treated like crap no less. One thing I like about EE posts is that he never seems to follow a specific group , the mods or anyone else but posts in his own path. I find his posts rational and thought out and quite unbiased I am sure no doubt many would disagree

. I feel pretty much the same with FDW his insights during the draft he makes it enjoyable to learn about different players and what they bring to the table. The open topic a few months ago where mods left themselves open to critique, I think they did a great job, I think they took it to heart I see them making an effort to engage and grow with posters. We need to work with the moderators, let them know when we see a poster creating problems. A rule of thumb in many forums is to debate the topic but don't attack the character. In other words it is never okay to call someone stupid, that includes the players.
