Ayup. I'd fully support any cat bylaw that states cats have to be kept indoors unless on a tether or in cat run. Leashes aren't really an option for about 999 out of 1000 cats ... unless you like taking your cat for a drag rather than a walk.

Next time I hope it gets hit by a car and that her kids are there to watch.
That's a pretty harsh thing to wish for. It's not the dog or the kids fault that they got stuck with someone who seems to be clueless.

Then they'd have to explain to their children what happens when you do irresponsible things. My dog and fiance were attacked by an off leash dog in our neighbourhood last year (and both still have the scars, emotional and physical) so they won't get my sympathy.

We have a leash and harness for our cat; usually we just hang it on the doorknob. He was a rescue cat (from MEOW) and loves getting outside. The leash isn't long enough for him to get off the steps so he just sits there enjoying sniffing the air. When is nice out, like the last few days, we don't shut the door all the way so he can come in when he wants (although we still need to take him off his harness).

A neighbourhood cat likes to come by and visit. Our cat will rub and purr any human, but despises any other 4 legged creature (and doesn't seem to realize he can't go though the glass to get at the other cat - he has tried).

I've got no patience for people who let their cats run free, either. I have 2, when they're outisde they are on a harness and a leash. They wander around the yard and sleep in the sunshine. No new suggestions as to what to do with the ones in your garden.

Eye for an eye. The cat takes a dump and pees in your garden. You should to likewise in theirs.

Who really cares if the cat is dumping in your garden, honestly no offense but it is just a flower bed and the poop acts as a great fertilizer. I on the other hand built the world's most expensive litter box. I had constructed a fort to resemble a turn of the century RCMP barrack. It was elevated with a slide and underneath I placed a heck of a lot of sand underneath for the kids. This was a lot of money and a lot of work. It turned out that this was an ideal location for the cats to poop while on patrol. I must have cleaned out 40 dumpers this spring.
I have sinced santitized the area and given clearance for the little ones to play again.

A garden, no biggie. A thousand dollar, pressure treated, several man hour litter box sucks.

And I just happen to be employed with the largest pest Control company in the world. What an Idiot I am!!!!

Just as you value the work that went into the fort you built, I value the work we put into the front garden and the curb appeal it adds. The last thing I need is a cat doing it's business in my garden, and spraying on our plants and killing them when they aren't cheap to replace.

This is something we deal with pretty much daily on our walks. It's very tiring.
Let me guess... Prestwick Estate Way?

I think I see your two dogs go by fairly regularily.

Yeah they are pretty ugly after the clippers get to them. Standard poodles are the smartest dogs in the world though.

I hate ckc.

If it's two huskies then it's us. I hope that poodle isn't yours.
