It's kind of funny that when it's a man that acts arrogantly (Jessie) many think it's entertaining (including me), but when a woman acts sure of herself/arrogantly (Libra, AND Keesha AND April I might add), it's perceived as annoying, bitchy, etc. Interesting double standard.
|
The difference for me is that when Jessie is arrogant, he is calm and almost innocent about it, like he doesn't realize he is a complete arrogant goof, Libra on the other hand uses an aggressive approach with her arrogance and is obviously trying to make other feel lesser, instead of using it to build herself up like Jessie does. In my opinion there is no double standard between these two.

It's hilarious because he's always right in the middle of things when April/Michelle/Keesha/Libra are losing their minds, but he just stands there with a stupid grin on his face and says nothing.

I was surprised that Ollie did not step up and say something when Jerry was doing his Judas talk in the HoH room.

Why are you surprised? Ollie has proven that he does pretty much nothing in the house.

Ollie did say he would do "anything" to win $500,000, maybe the Judas speech didn't offend him as much as people would assume it might considering his background.

Actually, I'm not sure why a Christian would be offended by someone calling another person "Judas."
It's not like Jerry started blaspheming God.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's comparing betraying Jesus which led to his crucifixion to a reality TV show.
That should probably offend a deeply religious person.

So glad that Libra was voted out 6-0 and i'm so glad that Renny won HOH. She'll put up April for sure. As for the second nominee i'm thinking either Michelle or Ollie. I'm pretty sure the plan this week will be to get April out.

Ya April is going up for sure and it makes sense to put up Ollie as a way to break up that voting alliance (ie Couple).

My wife and I burst out laughing when Dan took out Jerry in the HoH comp. Good on him. Moral victory.
I could also see Jerry being the other nominee due to his temper and attitude. Renny, while she made that speech at the dinner table, has also told Jerry to his face that his mouth is going to get him in trouble.

Nomination spoilers below in white:
Renny nominated April and Jerry for eviction. Memphis and Keesha wanted Ollie as the 2nd nominee but Renny said she has wanted to nominate Jerry for a long time. Renny/Keesha/Memphis/Dan said their plan is to get April out this week.

I'm more and more liking my chances, as returning CHAMP I've got 2 'hanging low' people that whatever each group does might make it to the end.

Ha, I wonder what speech he'll give Jerry this week. I am pulling for Dan and Memphis, they're great. I'd like to think I'd react to that situation in much the same way Memphis is, some of the things people do or think in that house are straight up insane.

The people on this show are definitely on the left side of the intelligence curve.

FINALLY!!! Ollie shows some life and does something useful. His talk with Renny(although she initiated it) was great gameplay by Ollie. I don't watch the feeds so I dont know, but maybe he isn't the whipped bitch that he appeared to be until last night.

Renny gave Ollie an out. Ollie took it. You don't have to be the brightest bulb in the box to take a get out of jail free card when it's handed to you. While I agree with the nominations, I still think it was bad gameplay by Renny.

Even though Ollie had been useless, he was urguably "playing" a very smart game. He hasn't stepped on anyone's toes --- at least from what they've shown, I haven't heard a single person say something bad about Ollie or say that they want him out.
And, he's laid low while always being part of an alliance; he hasn't been the typical floater that the rest of the houseguests eventually pick up on and evict out of the house.
We'll see how long he'll last like this, especially if April is voted out.
