Just watched the Thursday August 7, 2008 show. Since some haven't yet my thoughts are below in white.
The voting could be seen days ago and it was very predictable. It was no secret that Keesha, Libra, Renny would vote Jessie out and Ollie, Michelle, Jerry would vote Memphis out. It all came down to Dan and as suspected America chose for him to vote out Jessie so Jessie was evicted 4-3. I didn't hate Jessie but I wasn't a fan of his and I really like Memphis and want him(or Dan/Keesha) to win the game. Was really happy the voting went as it did. Michelle won the HOH competition in a True/False game and it came down to Michelle/Libra as the final 2 but Michelle won. It was hilarious seeing Jerry talking trash to the other 5 after the game was over. He's the worst player in the house that is remaining. I can't wait till Jerry is out. I don't like him at all. I'm sure Michelle will put up Keesha/Libra with Dan as a replacement. I want Libra to be voted out from those 3. I think Keesha/Dan unfortunately (the one who is beside Libra) will get voted out in a tiebreak by Michelle. I can't wait till nextweek when hopefully Dan's side of the house wins HOH and rubs it in Jerry's face. Should be an interesting week as it's now Michelle/April/Ollie/Jerry vs Dan/Keesha/Libra/Renny. Memphis likes all 4 from Dan's alliance and hates 3/4 from the other alliance. He'll side with Michelle this week as he has no choice really and then gun for April/Ollie next week. He's actually sitting in a good spot right now.
As I said, should be a fun week. Oh and yeah........Dan's sister is HOT. She should be on the show!

Wow, Dan's sister was smoking.
Im sad to see Jessie go, he was entertaining as hell, and was making the show for me so far. But having said that, things are really gonna heat up now with Michelle about to fight back against the folks that sent her love home.(she had it in for him something fierce). I really, really hope Libra gets kicked out and kicked in the box on her way out. Her smile drives me insane. INSANE. God, she's frustrating to watch.
But Im glad to see that the house decided the evicted guest and not the HoH having the final say and everyone fullfilling their wishes. That shouldn't be the power that HoH gets and for the first three weeks, it was.

The best thing Dan can do is go up to Michelle at this point and give anything and everything she wants. His vote, security, the truth (or as much as he can divulge). Jerry's reaction after the HoH and Jessie's comments have placed a big target on Dan's back.
Eric's mistake was that he tried to pawn it off on someone else, and it led to his eviction when he was America's Player. Dan needs to come as clean as possible to Michelle, it's the only chance he has stay in the house. If he can talk Memphis too, and tell him he voted for him to stay, it'll help his chances.
Does anyone know for sure what Jerry's blow up at Dan was about? It seemed to me due to Jerry's history with Memphis, and Memphis staying in the house, it had something to do with that.
And what the hell is up with all this "Game On" crap. People... "Game On" starts when you walk through the door, not 4 weeks later.

Eric lasted a couple weeks after that crucial vote to get Dustin out so I don't think the vote or his secret got him kicked out. He got knocked out because him and Jessica were a tight alliance and after they voted Jessica, Eric was the only other threat left in the house. Zack and Jameka were easy to get out.

I know it wasn't the week after, but it hung around him like a bad stench. He couldn't escape the stigma. And with Danielle being so smitten with the wrongfully accused Nick, it didn't help his chances to make it to the end.
The fact is, he only owned up to the vote to Jessica, everyone else in the house questioned him. I think if you own up and try and make ammends, it's better than trying to play it off like it never happened.
At this point in the game, if Dan can offer Michelle anything to get Michelle and Memphis further in the game, it will go a long way to keeping him in the house. Otherwise it's a crapshoot between him, Libra and Keesha. Two of the three should be going on the block, and I don't think the ladies have the oppertunity to talk their way out of this one.

Yeah, Libra and Keesha are going up for sure. Even if one of them ends up getting off the block, I can still see Michelle putting up April, especially if Dan "owns up" to not having a choice in the vote. I don't know, something about rivalry between the women, haha.
Either way, it will be a very interesting week in the house. I wonder if Memphis will stick to the side that kept him in the game, or sidle up to the side that's in power.

I think Memphis' smartest move at this point is to play Michelle and that side, but start talking to Jerry about alliance. The alliances that no one sees coming seem to work out pretty good for those involved. I think both can work off eachother well, especially hearing both sides of the house. If both can look at this from the game's perspective, it makes the most sense to an outsider like me.
Another option is to get into April and Ollie's ear for now, as long as he understands when it comes down to it... it's 2-1 in that alliance. April has shown she's a gamer.

^^I don't know about a Memphis/Jerry alliance? I'm pretty sure that Jerry is A) useless and B) hates Memphis.
I would think that Memphis just plays both sides and lays low for the next week or two....he really doesn't have to make a huge decision at this point.

Yeah come to think of it Memphis has it pretty easy right now. Michelle won't put him up because she likes him, and next week if the other side of the house is in power they won't put him up because they'll be gunning after the other alliance.

But I think that's why it would work. He's kinda under the radar as far as being a "player" in the game, but would also not attract much attention if everyone knows he hates Memphis. Think about it. The play up the hatred on the outside, but find ways to stratagise behind closed doors.
I love when it gets closer to the nitty gritty when someone turns the house on it's ear... not just talking about it (ala Keesha) but actually does something that the house never expected, and it throws the whole game for a loop.

Video here: http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_vi...eoplayer500202.
They revealed that Dan was America's player and that America wanted Dan to vote Jessie out. They also revealed that Brett Favre was no longer playing with the Green Bay Packers.

Wow... I can't watch the video from work, but is that how they worded it? BTW Jessie, it wasn't Dan who wanted you out of the house, it was America. Hope that makes you feel better about it all.
I hope they spun it that it was just one vote, just happened to be the tiebreaker due to the order of the voting, which I'm sure the producers knew how the house was split. Had Dan gone first, and Libra last... it would have looked like it was Libra's vote that kicked him out of the house.

Partial transcript from RealityBBQ:
Julie: Well, I have something to reveal to you. Are you familiar with what America’s Player is?
Jessie: Yeah.
Julie: For those who don’t know, America’s Player is someone picked by the public.
Jessie: I’m assuming it’s Dan.
Julie: You’re assuming right. Not only does the public pick who is going to be America’s Player in the house, they also control that player’s vote. So they chose Dan. It was only for this past week. It wasn’t for the entire season of the show. Which means, Dan didn’t have any control over his vote this week.
Jessie: Well America, I would have kept me in, because it would have been a lot funnier. As far as I’m concerned. I don’t see how Memphis is going to spice up anything. But I could be wrong.
