Craziness!!!
I was wondering if Shane was going insane or what? I guess the prisoner and Shane were infected while at the school or something.
I don't understand how Karl followed Rick and Shane all the way out there, but in the background you could see the farm house? Shane got a shot off, and everyone else would hear right?

Unreal. I wonder how they'll get by without such a strong character now but that was amazing. Gonna be a different show without Shane.

####ing awesome. When/How did Shane get infected? You think he knew and wanted Rick to be the one to kill him? Not likely but just a thought my wife and I had. Awesome.

Maybe Shane got infected when he used his knife to cut his hand on the bus. He had just killed a walker with it earlier and the infection might have become blood borne. They fixated on the two cops at the school who only got "scratched" and turned into walkers that episode too.
I'm thinking that if you get infected through a small wound, you turn into a walker after you die.

I think that whenever anyone dies, they turn into a walker.
Unless they die of brain trauma of course.
The scenes with the silhouettes of Rick and Shane in the field with the full moon above them was incredible. Some of the best cinematography of the series to date.
Just fantastic.
I also love that they are going back to the zombie culture roots with the good ol'
All the haters of season 2 can go suck it!

Sometimes this show just has those moments, tonight's ending was one of them. I bitch about the show being slow (which it still is) and the bad acting (which has gotten better), but there some moments that are so spectacular.
It's sort of like Breaking Bad, slow as fata a lot of the time, but has amazing payoff moments.

This pretty much proves that everyone is already infected. The real question, is why are certain people resistant and remain alive (remember the security guards from a couple episodes back)?

I think he lost sanity when Rick came back. He lost his leadership role, his lover and somewhat of an adopted son. Raised his gun on Rick and Dale caught him, tried to rape Lori at the CDC, etc.

I've been hearing a lot about the 2 cops or security guards, I must have missed that scene, I never saw these characters. Are you talking about the 2 idiots that Rick killed in the bar?

They found the security guards when they first attempted to drop off Randal. The episode where Rick and Shane had their big fist fight.

No, when Rick & Shane went to get rid of Randal the first time they came across some bodies that they inspected and commented that they couldn't find any bites.

The music when Rick killed Shane was reminiscent of the score in The Assassination of Jesse James, pretty haunting. At least that's what it reminded me of.
