Since the season is about to start again I decided to watch from the start on netflix. It is interesting to note that in the first scene of the first season Rick shoots a little girl in the head, and then again in the last scene of the last episode. I think he has some back bone.

Oh yeah, and Shane is banging Rick's wife. Lets not forget that Shane left Rick for dead and proceeded to bang his wife. God I love re-runs.

But hey. Shane is the hero

I get these names mixed up that is the reason for the edit

Season two is being replayed right now as well, leading right into the new episode.

My prediction: the whole new episode is arguing about whether to stay or leave followed by half the group staying and half the group leaving. The season will then follow both parties simultaneously, only for them to meet again at some point during the end of the season which leads into the third season.

I am always surprised at how many people like Shane so much. While I dislike Rick at times he seems way more likable and level headed than Shane.

Shane was useless at first, now he is kinda a loose cannon... and I like it!

i like watching it to see what stupid crap he will pull next to put the group in danger but I have read where people think he would be a good leader for the group and that people should listen to him not Rick which is crazy in my mind.

But I do agree crazy Shane is fun for the show and should result in more deaths of characters and of course zombies which is the most important part of the show.

I messed my neck and back up pretty bad while snowboarding yesterday—it sucks to be an old man in a physical prison—and am happily watching the season two marathon this afternoon.

Shane would make a rubbish leader and he isn't very likable, but he is way more interesting to follow than Rick. I just find Rick to be such an enormous ##### that he isn't likable at all. Yeah, he shot 2 kids in the head, he also spent 7 episodes crying and being useless, meanwhile Darryl the badass is off killing everything.

I like the show, but some of the choices they choose for the characters are terrible. Then again, I can't stand the acting and that has a lot to do with actually liking the characters.

Count me in for Team Darryl...So, is Merrill dead or will he eventually make a surprise reappearance?

I just finished watching "Save the Last One". The first time I saw this episode I thought that what Shane did to Otis was despicable, and I still do. However, what does one do in his shoes? He was making a decision in accordance with some sort of social darwinian ethic, and selfishly chose self-preservation and the best interests of his community. I suppose the more noble thing would be self-sacrifice, but who could realistically choose death-by-zombie? Especially given that Shane also likely harboured doubts about Otis's physical abilities to complete the task.

This show is even better when you watch the episodes in a row. It's slow when you watch it week to week, but all together it has a much better flow.

It's a shame people don't appreciate character development. The pay-off for Sophie was well worth all the wait.

No kidding! I have yet to watch "Pretty Much Dead Already" (the kids came in from playing street hockey—this is not exactly family friendly entertainment!), but the first time I saw this episode, the last scene positively gave me chills. Brilliant story-telling.
