No particular reason. Picked the name Dion out of the blue.
I post on other forums and use different user names.

Named after my hero, Donnie Yen. Speaking of which, his new movie Flashpoint comes out today in HK theatres, so should be available for order on yesasia in about a month or so. Sweet, can't wait!

Black - My favourite colour
Nova - I have an interest in astronomy, and the word supernova looked cool heh
BlAcKNoVa. I added capital letters to spice things up a bit. I use this nickname pretty much everywhere, from online games to other forums.

An octothorp is one of these: #
More commonly known as a pound, hash, or number symbol, of course. I was doing technical writing in the communications industry and would occasionally come across poorly written documentation that would refer to the octothorp key on a telephone. I just thought it was a really funny word. When I started out on the forum, I signed all my posts with an octothorp at the bottom. Like so:
-#

I remember a certain story involving a train and a wallet in Russia that someone joked that it was stamped with a #.
I don't remember the details, but that was a funny story.

Sample00
it equates to the first letter of each one of my family members and then the word etc on the end, in case the family ever got bigger.
The 00 is for a hockey number that I wish I had the opportunity to wear but never got the chance.
God Bless, Neil Sheehy!

Locke - It was never, and likely never will be my actual nickname, nor is it anything remotely resembling my actual name.
I took this handle as a reminder to myself. John Locke was one of the forefathers of rational thought. An acceptance of ideas from all perspectives and the preaching of understanding and tolerance and the ability to reason above all.
These are aspects that I dont even dream of claiming to have, only that I aspire to, and remember that there is always more than one side to every argument and to be conscientious of other's opinions on the grounds that they are, at the very least, as valid as my own.
We all get a little carried away with Oiler bashing, and it would be a blatant lie to say that I've never taken part, and even gone too far on occasions, and the nickname is a reminder to reel myself in and be reasonable.
Locke.

I think mine is pretty self-explanatory... the Flames had just missed the play-offs for the 7th straight season, but it was starting to look like perhaps Mr. Sutter had what it took to turn us around... finally!
I guess it could be changed now to Saved By Sutter!
