Staios was good down the stretch, even the most hardened Staios hater shouldn't have a problem seeing that.
And that being said... I don't want to see him return, even for a low price.

ya this speaks volumes to what the mindset is of erixon. I am getting less saddened by this. We are losing Erixon, but we are gaining a skill set this team has lacked. Sure Erixon had higher potential, but if we can turn Brodie into a Gio and get Breen's development to continue we will be ok.
Im sick of being mad at this team, so im going to go glass half full on this

The cheapest guy .Sarich... the guy that Erixon competes for ice time makes 3.6M ... the Rangers highest paid guy Staal makes 3.97
The guy that Erixon has to beat out to get top 4 minutes is Ryan McDonagh who has 40 NHL games and is on a 2-way contract.
The Rangers got rid of Rozsival and Redden And McCabe is a UFA

Yeah just because I think Staios played like crap I'm judging by blind hate right?
He played like absolute horse crap 90% of the time he was in the lineup. I think you're still blinded by the goal he scored against the Oilers to tie the game up.

The more I read "around the 'net" I don't think Erixon's move was as much a slight against Calgary or the Flames organization. It had more to do with him (and his family) wanting to be a part of the Rangers organization.
It's unfortunate that a prospect is put in a position to be able to do this.

Not mad at the team at all. Feaster did what he could, Erixon took his stupid swedish balls and went home (New York). I'd love to see a Flame ragdoll the crap out of Erixon this season.

obviously I would rather see Carson or Pardy return first... but I think I would still rather have Staios than Mikkelson

He played a small amount of games as well (39).... there are other options out there (I would hope)...
Flames need to move on and find someone else.

I think the NHL needs to look at making changes to the CBA. If a drafted player wants to play in the NHL they should have no choice but to sign with the team who drafted them. There should be no 2 year limit to sign players, the team who drafted them should retain said players rights forever. The player can play or he can sit on his ass at home. F#$% em.

Huh...reading the Swedish commentator's statements, it sound like his family was really wanting him to be part of the Ranger's organization. I wonder if Feaster wasn't caught up with family's wishes or was hoping they'd change their mind.

Yeah that is concerning. Considering Sutter said that in order to re-coup a 1st round pick on the last draft, all offers were for Erixon. He did not want to do it. Did Sutters stubborness blind him to the fact that there was knowledge of him wanting to be a Ranger? I could be reaching, but it does sound like there were warning signs.

It absolutely is a "slight" against the Flames....
He made the Flames make a really tough decision.
The guy was drafted 23rd and he feels he should pick his team... kind of sad.

Tough to sell indentured servitued in the courts these days, they tend to think people have the right to decide where they live and work and the like.
