My issue is not with God being in the anthem, but rather how God is in the anthem. The anthem asks God to keep our land free, when it is us who must do so. You don't mind it, so I shouldn't either?

Yeah, some individuals are very caught up in being PC, but thankfully as a whole, we're not.

Default Being politically correct, or respectful

Even in hockey, the officials blow the whistle when someone is offside. Being politically correct on the ice means not spearing or injuring another player. If revising the national anthem to reflect all persons is politically correct, I guess I'm politically onside.

True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Allah keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
In other words, God has no business being in our anthem!
