That'd be my lineup. Up front that would mean there's two more spots for Byron, Bollig, Raymond, Granlund and Shore to battle out - personally I'd love to see Raymond and/or Bollig get traded, but I don't see it. Something's got to give here ...

Defensively I don't really care who sits in the pressbox as 7th defenseman until Smid is healthy. For Wotherspoon and Morrison it'd be better to play top minutes in Stockton, I guess.

In goal, as long as Ortio isn't lost on waivers, I'm fine either way. My preference would be to trade Hiller and go with Ramo/Ortio, but again, not sure whether that's a realistic scenario.

I don't know if Colborne has ever played LW. He may have to try though, given Hudler/Jones/Frolik But even so, I think Ferland will be on the 4th line and Colborne will be on the 2nd or 3rd.

I think Nakladl will be the press box guy after his performances lately. And maybe Shore/Jooris/Bollig will be on some sort of 4th line rotation.

In reality these are your starters, unless trades or burying contracts. Still nice looking 4 lines and great looking defence with 'ok' goaltending. I really love Ferland on the 1st line to add size and strength. Colborne does the same, with a different skill set of course, on the 'second line' and that leaves a killer third/shut down line! Fourth line will change based on team, but would expect Raymond to get more time than Jooris or Bollig... And Byron needs to fit in somewhere as well, and may rotate in and out of 4th line. Signing of Ryan Wilson is going to happen (I hope!).

Realistically, I expect some trades to occur, but not sure what's the return... But Hiller will be gone.

Still find it doubtful that anyone is interested in trading for Raymond or Bollig, and while I'd wish they would go away, I also doubt they will be sent to minors.
I assume someone like Shore, Byron or Jooris will simply be sent to to AHL and possibly lost to waivers.

I think Raymond makes the team. He needs to play just well enough so as not to make the decision a total joke, but sending him down will absolutely kill his trade value. He is already at negative value, but an AHL player making over $3 million is worse.

If he can have a decent start to the season maybe he retains some value and could be part of a bigger trade.

I think Raymond, Ferland and Shore stay up with the big team. Granlund sent down, Byron on IR for a while. Then the inevitable injuries will happen and Granlund will be here.

On D, I would not be surprised if one of the guys on a PTO make it as the 7th Dman. Sounds like Smid not ready yet.
