You just did.

You have to look at both team's needs.

The Flames aren't getting another top 5 pick for Frolik, Ortio and a 2nd.

If they were to get the Oilers pick they'd have to give up a core player, and the Oilers don't need forwards.

I imagine it's the same with the Bluejackets. They'd want a young core player.

I don't think the Flames/Oil are good trading partners here. I could see a deal with Vancouver though. Because they are easily taken advantage of

My guess would be Hamilton could be the one moving if we are looking at 4.

Flames made that trade with the thought that we had a d-core that was lacking in young depth and Hamilton fit that need.

Then we drafted Anderssen & Kylington, Nakladal has looked pretty good, Brodie made another step towards being a top 15 d-man in the league, picked up Jokipakka, Wotherspoon and Kulak took steps on the farm, and have the chance to draft another good d-man in the top 10.

The only other way is if the Flames don't like Monahan's contract demands and they looked at moving him with #3 + Wennberg coming back the other way.

If you can turn Gio (an undrafted player) into a top 5 pick, that is awesome management right there.

Since this is amusing, would Hamilton for 4th+32nd, then 4th+35th for 3rd work for anyone?

Use 3rd on Jesse P
Use 6th on a Dman to fill the Hamilton hole

Whatever-Bennett-Puljujarvi
Gaudreau-Monahan-Whatever

Giordano-Brodie
Sergachyev-Andersson

Either this is just an insight into how many irons Treliving has in the fire.

Or just Dreger trying to stir up the pot.

Interesting how quiet the Sportsnet insiders have been the last couple of days.

I really really like Hamilton, but I think I could live with that.
I would much rather give Gio up though.

I'd be surprised if Hamilton got the 4th by himself.

1) Treliving is Magic.

2) He's not giving up Brodie, Hamilton, Gio.

3) He's not giving up Monohan, Bennett or Johnny.

4) Treliving is Magic.

5) Expect us to have Bishop, #6 & #8 before the weekend is done.

6) Treliving is Magic.
