Gaudreauvertime always goes quiet when questions about their motivations and affiliations are raised.

But as I said earlier, it's the Internet and they can claim or deny any affiliation that they have to Gaudreau or his reps, regardless of the truth.

The biggest thing that makes me doubt they aren't actually acting under knowledge of the agent is how utterly abrasive and bad at it they are. But I still think it's a distinct possibility.

He reminds me of when the Oilers PR team hired people to register on HFboards, and to praise Kevin Lowe relentlessly.

This was during the whole "Lowe Must Go" uproar a couple years back.

There's a pretty big jump from some guy getting wound up and obsessed with discussing and defending a player, on the Internet, to assuming he's part of some coordinated PR effort on a message board from that player's entourage.

And pointing to HF and the awfulness that that board and mods has been for well over a decade, and then the Oilers potential involvement on top of that, as proof that it could happen, doesn't legitimize the claim further.

I remember a user 'Petrydish' used multiple accounts to say positive things about oilers management and the direction of the team (retrospective lol oilers), all the posts made by the fake accounts were eventually changed to being petrydish's posts, so they read like the mind of a madman if you can dig up some of them up. The mods on HF were curiously silent about the whole affair.

I truly hope the agent is not that pathetic. If so, they have probably driven down our expected price with the ridiculous comments. Not that it has any relevance to the actual contract.

We don't need him to reveal if he's that person, but I think it is reasonable to ask what team he cheers for.
