Biggest concern for Flames I found in that link. As Johnny goes so did the flames last year.

If you look at most NHL players, their stats in wins will be more impressive than their losses. I wouldn't read too much into stats like this.

Good point . Looked up NHL scoring leader last year Patrick Kanes win/loss splits
By Result GP G A PTS +/- PIM SOG %
In wins 47 34 46 80 38 14 168 20.2
In losses 35 12 14 26 -21 16 119 10.1
http://www.espn.com/nhl/player/split...5/patrick-kane

Meh, one could interpret those numbers to mean whatever they want. Maybe to me, they mean that the Flames have a depth problem.
No one player can be perfect every night. Not even Crosby, Price, Kane, etc. So there need to be other players to pick up the slack. Johnny is so good that when he plays well, the Flames win more often than not. When he has less-than-good games, Frolik, Backlund, Bennett, need to step up.
I find the home/away stats much more puzzling. Was Hartley particularly good at matching lines at home? Will Gulutzan show the same prowess? Or did he perform poorly on the road for other reasons? He produced less than half on the road than at home. Seemingly pretty drastic. Do other stars have similar stat lines?

Gif party continues until Johnny signs! But no re-using gifs Scorp!
Only the freshest, dankest memes will ensure Johnny signs before the season starts!

Ya Fire had it right. Quick search of some top players (Kane, Benn etc) showed pretty drastic difference in wins vs losses stats.
some home away splits though
Jaimie benn
Home 41 29 23 52
Away 41 12 25 37
Patrick Kane
Home 41 23 31 54
Away 41 23 29 52
Sydney Crosby
Home 40 25 26 51
Away 40 11 23 34
Top 3 scorers
http://www.espn.com/nhl/player/split.../sidney-crosby
Though probably beating a dead horse to say that Gaudreau doesnt compare with these 3 in home/away splits. Needs to be better. I think he will.
