Anyone else see ep 2? Pretty hilarious stuff. Wasn't as gore heavy, but the bits where Ash is trying to keep his cool while investigate the mother to see if she was a "deadite" were pretty hilarious. Really liking this.

Whats the actual length going to be? The first episode was an hour but the second episode was shorter.

2nd episode was only 30 minutes. Based on what I can find that is the running time for the rest of the episodes.

It's already been renewed for a 2nd season.

I am waiting for the season to be over so I can download and binge. Weekly episodes are so 2010.

What makes this one work is that the main character works just as well or even better as he gets older. Even when he was young, he was working as a retail clerk. The fact that he's now an old washed up retail clerk, makes the concept even better.

The general slapstickyness of the effects and gore help too.

Well, you're right, but its also because the show could land the original actor for the main character.

True...without Bruce Campbell, it would be unwatchable.

And they own the rights to Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2, so there is little interference.

"Afterwards we can go for churros. And Pablo that's not racist, that's just a delicious dessert"
"You know I'm not Mexican right?"
"That's the spirit"

I liked:

"I'll just take him a couple of Miller Tallboys, boom, problem solved!"

What cant be solved over a couple of Miller Tallboys!

Just caught up. My favorite quote:

"The book itself is harmless, unless wielded by someone very evil or someone very stupid."
"OK. Let's say some really cool guy read from the book by mistake, and summoned something from way back, and now he just wants to put it back, no harm, no foul?"

Simple comedy, but it made me laugh pretty hard.

That was a good one. Campbell is brilliant in this.

"I lost my Woody!"

Watched EP1 last night. Holy crap, it was awesome. How Bruce Campbell never hit the big time A- list as a leading man is mind bottling. God he's aged well. But I guess it just wouldn't be the same if he had. This is the coolest show since Breaking Bad.

This show is better than the movies.

There. I said it. Someone had to.
