Hyka to Los Angeles, Zlobin to Pittsburgh. If the Flames could get someone like Besse in the 7th, it would be fantastic. I wouldn't mind if they took a flyer on Tyrel Seaman either.

No.
Craig Button was up in a press booth for that pick and the first three rounds. He had nothing to do with that pick at all. It was part of deal with the Flames and Stars when they let him go he would have nothing to do with the rounds 1-3.

I'm noticing that all these players have one thing in common from all the reviews I've seen: high hockey IQ and heart (but not at the sacrifice of skill).
Weisbrod seems to be implementing his gameplan to a tee.

As I said, behind the scenes, he should've made it unequivocally clear that it wasn't the pick he wanted (if he didn't). Sure, officially he could have nothing to do with it, but why agree to a move you're potentially totally against 3 weeks into a job?
