Are you thinking that I suggested the Flames would have to add Wolf or Parekh for Yakemchuk-Andersson trade? If that’s the case, no. I’m suggesting that rather Senators would likely want a player who has similar age and upside. I think teams are loathe to give up their best prospect for ~30 year olds.
For the sake of argument though, if there was a trade the Flames Senators were discussing for a vet RHS D, I’d think they would have more interest in Weegar. Local guy who has 6 years left on what I would consider, a bargain deal. Andersson is younger but if the extension is part of the deal you’re likely looking at 7-8 more years of Andersson at, what, $8M? $9M? Weegar at $6.25, although older, is pretty attractive, I would say. Especially for Ottawa.
