...and water is wet. There is no trade market for teams right now unless you want to get fleeced. Every GM knows this, and that is why no significant trade will occur until we are closer to a deadline.

Yes, exactly. They just need to make 2-3 more deals to get 2-3 more first round picks between this year and next. I’d be surprised/disappointed if this doesn’t turn out to be the case.

Means you would have a run of:

2024: 2 1sts
2025: 2 1sts
2026: 3 1sts

Those 10 1sts in a 4 year span are how you build a solid core that is around the same age and grows together.

Add in 8-10 2nds during that span as well.

Mix in just one top-3 pick could be enough.
