Did Maloney say he was looking to acquire more players like Kadri? No, he did not. He said players like that are good to have, which I should have thought was an absolute platitude.

I took it to mean that the team could use more players with the skill and play style of Kadri; not that he proposed to go out and trade assets to acquire more 35-year-old centres. I think you would have to be wilfully obtuse to suggest that he meant the latter.
