#1- What are the official rules regarding the showing of one's hand after the river card has been dealt and the betting has finished? Who has to show first? If there are more than 2 people involved in the showdown, how do the rules apply then?
#2- What are the official rules regarding the dispersal of players in a tournament once people start getting knocked out? In other words, if there are 10 tables of 10 players each, and 10 players are knocked out, 1 from each table, how does the tournament director choose the table to be broken up and which players go to which table?

Ro, regarding rule number 1;
Say if you raise me 100, and I call...then you would show your cards.
Say if you raise 100, guy to left of you calls, then I call. You would show first, then him, then me.
For rule 2, I think it just depends on each tourny. I am not sure if set rules are in place.
Hope that helped

Thanks for the reply, but do you know if that's official or not? And from your answer, it's hard to know if it's position that is the key, or if it's who raised and who called....

Same order as betting. The first guy after the button shows. Then in order, they can either show their hands or muck. Normally you'd show if you have a better hand than of the guys before you, and it is your choice if you're beat. But I've seen guys muck from the first position on TV when they know they're beat.

It starts with the person who first bet (the agressor).

As has been said, it starts with the person who bet or raised last (the guy who people are calling). BUT if no one bets on the last betting round, then it's done by position... so the guy left of the dealer has to show.
