Let's see if Toronto can repeat after last night's success. Opening pitch on the way.
Pitching: Jays' Chacin up against Kazmir for Tampa.
On a side note: Delgado's new team, the Marlins, are up 9-0 in the ninth. Carlos is 3-4 with 3 RBI.
Go Jays!

1-0 early for the Jays. Johnson hit a fly ball that Perez lost in the roof, Menechino drove him in with a groundout.

Jays are sure mixing up the lineup early in the season............a few new faces tonight, but it doesn't look to be hurting any yet. That McDonald kid looks pretty impressive so far.
And Chacin.........where did he come from? I think I was asleep this offseason or too preoccupied with the NHL, cause I don't know a few of these guys tonight........

John MacDonald was with the Indians last year, and he's been around for a few years I think.
And I don't know much about Chacin, but his shades make him look bad-ass. B-)
Billy Koch is sitting in the stands tonight, decked out in Devil Rays gear, and I mean decked out (hat, jersey, giant hand, everything). No, he has not been acquired by Tampa. I guess he promised a bunch of kids that he would be there for the first series (albeit in a Jays uni), and he fulfilled that promise despite being cut in spring.

John MacDonald is one of the best defenders at shortstop around... if he could ever hit he would have his plaque being polished in the hall right now.
Chacin... Posted amazing AA numbers last year, very unexpectedly, after being there for 4 years and not really doing anything special.

You're right...........McDonald is 31 and has played parts of seasons since '99. Doesn't look like much of a hitter, considering his past stats. Looks more than capable defensively, though.
Chacin turns 25 this year signed as a free agent by the Jays in '98 and played in 2 games with them last year. Hopefully he can have a decent year and take some heat off of Halladay.

Brandon League is out in the bullpen warming up.
If you want to see an impressive rookie who is going to be HUGE for the Jays, this is your guy.
Amazing Sinker Ball where the ball just DIES. Can Throw 95-99 MPH.

I don't care if Hall juggled the ball, that was an amazing slide by Hinske. I think he was safe, regardless.
Did you see the ump? Man, he looked ridiculous flailing his arms like that.

Billy Koch was supposedly heckling his teammates as well. Any confirm that? I read it on SI.com today and thought that was hilarious.

He was sitting right behind the pitchers along the field lines by the Bullpen.
Yeah he was heckling them.

Jays up 2-1 this aft looking for the sweep. Both Jays runs came in on a triple by Rios. Cory Koskie continues to struggle at the dish though and I think is still 0 for the season.

He was decked out in Rays gear with a foam finger, hilarious. Looked like his former teammates were amused.
3-1 for the Jays now.

5-2 for the Jays now, Koskie gets his first hit and RBI as a Jay
Hudson hit a triple to knock in the 4th run, and thats the 4th triple that the Jays have hit in 3 games. Just a fluke? Or is that a sign that they are being more agressive baserunners this year?
