Default Mall food court flash mob sing Hallulujah Chorus

This was in St. Catharines. Absolute gold. The music nerd in me loves this. Anyone want to help me start one at Market Mall?

The best part is how in true flash mob style, they all pretend nothing happened afterward.

How many people were not part of it, but thought they'd stand up because they knew the words?

I have been trying to get something like this going for a while. I am a big fan of Improv Everywhere and their "Food Court Musical".

I have some ideas, and a few venues I've scouted.

I guess my idea of "flash mob" was different from yours.

If I were ever unknowingly in the middle of a Flash Mob, I would be freaking the F out... thinking the world was coming to an end.

I do have to say that as a parent, 3:05 was slightly touching. (In a good way, not an illegal way)

I've seen it, and it pretty cool. However, there's NO CHANCE that the audio you are hearing was actually recorded at the same time the video you are seeing was recorded.

At the very least, the audio is significantly processed after the fact. It's pretty much impossible to get sound like that from a video camera, that would be far away from many singers, and close to others, plus you hear virtually no background noise.

She was speaking with he sister while waiting to begin and he sister wanted to hear.

She was a UWO music grad, the papers in the area (London Free Press, for example) had a bunch of stories and background about it a few weeks ago.

Wireless transmitter or mic into the camera. Just did a gig with a guy who was filimg the gig and wanted an auxiliary mix off the board. Sounded awesome. So for all you know he planted a mic in a sweet spot and filmed from somewhere else.

Although I do agree that the audio has been comrpessed and eq'd in some kind of post-production.

I was going to watch it, but then my wife said they showed this on The View. I don't want to accidentally turn gay by watching this.

No, I just said that apparently there was a flash mob in a St. Catherines mall and she said she saw it on The View.
