Anyone have one? Or know of where to look? I'm going to buy the Bargainfinder tomorrow.

I'd like one of those Monarch blue and white plain ones.

Thanks.

Nothing? No one has one of these sitting around gathering dust? I thought it was a common clothes hanger in 80% of households

I don't have one but some quick advice - skip the stationery bike and pick up a cross-trainer. Stationery bikes are not that great a work out - a treadmill or cross trainer is WAY better.

I have a treadmill, swim a lot, play hockey three times a week. And want to do a triathalon.

Thus I need to ride a bike a bit this fall/winter. Or something to do later in the day after a swim/run/ice time/leg workout when running would be to much.

Thanks for the advice though!

www.fitnessdepot.ca

Hmmm that has no prices. But maybe you can then look-up models available in calgary and find prices elsewhere.

sportchek market mall has them.

I may happen to work at "unsaid fitness store".

I dont think Monarch bikes are too common these days, there was a person asking about them the other day. There is a schwinn one on the market that is quite similar. That runs around 600.

As far as treadmills go if you are going to be running at all on it do not spend under 1500. It won't be worth your money. You can get a decent walking treadmill for between 1000-1500 but if you try and run a)you will wear through the motor faster than you know what and b)it'll feel like crap on your entire body, you will be working harder than you need to during your workout and will pay for it. Ultimately you won't end up wanting to use the machine because it won't feel good.

If you are going to purchase something through bargain finder one thing to look out for is warranty's. A manufacturer's warranty is void once the orginal owner sells it. Not as big of a deal with bikes, but definately with treadmills.

If you are in Calgary try Apple fitness, they might be able to help you out. They supply to a lot of clubs, and the somtimes get used stuff back. I did see a monark at one of their store a few years back.
