Default Punching Bags

Not a Stortini one, but I want a standing bag with a weighted base. It seems like Wavemaster is the brand of choice.

I am not a trained striker and am just looking for some fun cardio. I weigh about 180. The two models I'm looking at weigh in at around 170lbs and 270lbs. Is the smaller bag sufficient for me? Will I outgrow it? I don't mind if it moves around a little, but I don't want it falling over.

Any other experiences with this kind of work out would be helpful.

My wife has a Wavemaster... I don't know what weight it is, but I think it's the "Original Wavemaster" just judging by their product catalog.

She uses it for kickboxing so punching and kicking. It does move around a bit, but as long as you use it correctly (ie) don't stand to close to it - you only want to be hitting it at or very near full extension) it doesn't move much.

It fills via the top as well, the bag comes off, so there's no real worry of it leaking.

I'd recommend hitting up Kijiji. There were a few on there for pretty dirt cheap.

Depends how much sand/water you put in it. You could always fill it with concrete

Yeah that way when you sell your house it becomes a fixture.
