Looking for a family doctor

[EVERLAST]

WOndering if anyone knows of a good family doctor accepting patients.

Healthlink has failed me time and time again and I am simply looking for a doctor who actually cares and has some sort of bedside manner.

The wife and I and our 3 year old really need this as I havent even had a physical in over 10 years am getting older (in my 40's) and I am falling apart at a rapid rate.

So sorry - that was how we found our first doctor when we came to Canada three years ago.

our family still travels to our home town to go to the family doctor....you might consider looking outside the city to one of the surrounding communities, doctors there often accept new patients.

You can search for Doctors based on if they are accepting new patients or not. It will also list their specialites and practice interests.

I also had the unpleasant task of finding a family doctor in Calgary upon moving to the city a few years ago.

The first doctor I picked off the list was absolutely horrible. I picked a new one based on feedback given on the Rate MD's website.

As with any feedback sites, take the comments with a grain of salt but I'd think that most folks would have similar heathcare expectations.

I found a doctor who is accepting new patients. Dr. Beckett is located in Deerfoot Meadows. The number is 403-251-2690. The address is 7979 11 Street SE (by Ikea).

I have a meeting next month so I don't know if the place is any good.
