Default Subway Soccer Centre Bubble Collapsed (again)

In the video they say they are looking for a permanent roof this next time, that would be nice.

I think they should get kids playing futsal instead. It requires less infrastructure and is much better for the technical development of players.

fair, though it defleted, didn't collapse. Someone was in there and got out as there was time to get out. Still, they should be looking at something a little less prone to total failure.

Um, yes. But that would require totally different facilities than what we've got.

Ha! I was in there practicing about 30 minutes before it collapsed the first time. The worst part was the fact that it was freezing in there. This thing collapsed for the exact same reason it did last time, no matter what they say. Too much snow and not enough heat. Same conditions.

This city really needs to learn a few things about training and development. I'd agree with you that more fields are required, but overall, I think its irrelevant until they sort out which game it is that they're trying to play and teach.

Not saying I don't prefer futsal to indoor soccer because I do, but the city is never going to abandon indoor soccer for it. It would be foolish to plan for anything other than that.

Futsal has been tried several times in the city to no real success. Though the facilities CUSA used to test run it were a disaster. The gym on the reserve had no heat, no benches to change on, the toilets were always backed up and sometimes the taps didn't even work.

Have they removed all of the gymnasiums from Calgary since I've left?

The CSF might not, but the City most definitely would. If the City was ever handed a non-biased comparison with financial details, they would jump all over futsal. It's so silly that the CSF is spending their funds on new infrastructure rather than utilizing pre-existing infrastructure and pumping money into development programmes.
