Some guy jumped off a the TD tower in Calgary tonight
linky
Was trying to basejump, and got blown back into the building.
dumbass or not?
And I wold think the TD tower wouldn't be the best idea, it's fairly surronded by other towers, Cantera would be much better..

He's lucky to be alive. Falling 16 floors through an atrium has to hurt.

He should of gone off the Petro Canada[Red Square]. It's the tallest building west of Toronto and I think their is more landing space.

BASE jumping off a skyscraper on a day when there was a major wind warning was probably the biggest mistake.

Darwin almost claims another one.

Cow not only that, but there are factors that must be looked at with regards to the heat from buildings and whatnot that cause the parachute to react in different manners.

What a moron.

"A helicopter was called in to first locate and then rescue the man from the top of a pedestrian walkway."

Not only did he injure himself badly but charges are pending against him. I almost feel sorry for him...

If he ate a pancake breakfast beforehand possibly.

The reports that I heard said he did just that. Apparantly, he jumped off the 51st floor of the Petro Canada building on New Years Eve and was successful. Still a dumbass.
